Trip Report |
On a blustery day Martin Down was far too windy to see any butterflies so we had a quick look round between the showers and hurried on to the shelter of Bentley Wood (via the Fox and Goose in Coombe Bisset).
Before we left we did find an excellent Frog Orchid.
Bentley Wood came up trumps as usual with a Purple Emperor giving a close fly-past just after we arrived and huge numbers of Silver-washed Fritillaries. |
