The north end of the Rodwell Trail has birds you won't see on the rest of the trail due to its proximity to Radipole Lake. Shelduck is one of the many duck species visiting the lake and can sometimes be seen from section 1 as they fly between Radipole, Lodmoor and The Fleet. This is one of the largest ducks and has far more white on it than most.
