Sandsfoot to Dover Road

Undoubtedly the top birdwatching section although you really need a telescope to see all the birds out in the harbour.

As well as these little dots of birds miles away other seabirds can be seen much closer as they fly along the coastline, especially in rough weather. Migrant songbirds such as Siskins and Tree Pipits are best seen from this section as they fly over heading to and from Portland.

Some good plants here as well with Chicory the most striking and Round-leaved Cranesbill a local speciality.
