This morning I came across this very graceful scene as two swans courted each other on Radipole Lake.
Then it all got a bit violent...
They seemed to soon get over it though and spent the next 5 minutes preening and bathing.
As both were indulging in identical activity this was probably ritual preening, i.e. more to do with repairing any damage done to the pair bond rather than repairing damaged feathers.
This sequence is filmed at 240 frames per second, so not as high resolution as usual.
