With the water in the lake at a very low level a bunch if waders have arrived to take advantage of the feeding opportunities this provides.
This afternoon there were six species of wader present: black-tailed godwit, snipe, common sandpiper, green sandpiper, little ringed plover and this greenshank.
Yesterday evening the green sandpiper was very close to the hide in absolutely perfect light.
